RE: COVID-19 EPIDEMIC LIFE SHOCK RELIEF/DONATION REQUEST.
Hallo to the World,
My Name is Kateregga Baker, a member of the YALI network (Young African Leadership Initiative) an American government start up to crop new community leaders in Africa. I am the head of Rise, a Kasensero local initiative that strives to uphold the tone down lives of the Kasensero Fish Landing Site citizens in Uganda. And am a cofounder of Relief Vacations Channel, a tourism and Conservation firm in Uganda. I am a passionate leader who strives to empower the weakened and tries to bridge hope to the Hopeless. Community Organising for Action is not only passion but a calling from God.
I was born on the shores of Lake Victoria in a fishing village no one would like to associate with called Kasensero, an HIV/AIDS label in Uganda. Although feared and isolated, its where my “The Roots” story and that of many others begins. We were six children whose mother was their dad as well. Our home services were in a comedy of errors arena because due to poverty shrieked home pockets. Sadly, we were not always so much different from many of the families in the area. Although poor, other people proved to be very poor by all dimensions. Diseases like malaria, STDS, flue, bilharzia, typhoid, cholera and many sanitation related diseases were the area logo because AIDS, the killer king had already taken our area trade mark copyright.
I have to say I am one of the area Napoleons because I was able to access a good education from Makerere University, a dream that very many people from my area could never achieve. As a way of repatriation, I vouched to bridge and generate Hope to my less lifed people in Kasensero through Community Organising for Action and Social uplift.
Kasensero-Uganda, we the AIDS heavily striked class of Ugandans by geography still hub a mass number of the heavily poor and economically unfit Ugandans. This has lived for a very long life testimony despite the fact that we have had not no physical gun war in the last 30 years but AIDs/HIV has been the battle we have been fighting for decades now sweeping and decanting our lives like hell.
Sincerely, under poverty, the no good education, the poor infrastructure, the wicked healthcare system, we were recently put to a lock down by president Museveni as a measure to terminate the spread tactics of Corona Virus, a new born life murderer of the world. It was a good move because the president thought he was saving people’s lives but hunger is killing them faster than the thought virus. This has made life a living hell for the citizens who are already battling HIV/AIDs. The now priotised is COVID-19 but hunger is heavily hunting and hanging many of them dow during the quarantine.
Yes, I believe help organizations come up to help our country with relief hands but this aid is sometimes hooked up by the shameless country corruption chains. This has made the process of relief decanting to the people of Kasensero-Uganda so mythical and so impossible. With that, I decided to group Kasenseronians together and have a huge relief roar request from the rest of the world.
