A Colorful and Historical 800 Year Old Market

La Boqueria was first mentioned back in 1217 when meat vendors put up tables here to sell their products. Since then it has always been a pig market. Until 1826 when the market was legally recognized.

Nowadays, if you’re a tourist in Barcelona, this market will always be one of the city’s highlights.

You’ll be surprised at how diverse the stalls are. Please be sure to take a moment in here when you visit Barcelona.
