Ghatal is the small but a happy town of West Bengal,India.

It’s alos have lots of historical value.Ghatal was well-known in trade and commerce,In the time of Yolandutch roles Ghatal was famous at looms and wool business. the time of British India it had grown with indigo Business.

A minar that was built on British rule.

A River Silabati flow into the town,

that used for water transporting of indigo and that is why many ghats were built here,

Hopefully Ghatal get it’s name from there.A floating bridge on the Silabati River is the main attraction of the Ghatal.

and the main fact is this time the bridge had only allowed for East India Company.Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar who have lot of roles on Bengaly language,Bron in Ghatal.

No, I have never been to Ghatal but it not that far from Kolkata, I guess within 100 kilometers, ain’t it @ANIRUDDHA1 ?

Ghatal is a popular town in the media especially due to political news and one of the top superstars from the Bengali film industry is currently the MP from Ghatal.
