Hello fellow Local Guides!
Recently, I had the wonderful opportunity to attend Connect Live Singapore, held at the Google office in Singapore. The event featured so many amazing programs and activities, but among all of them, my favorite was the “Give & Take” session, where we wore our traditional clothing and represented our respective cultures.

At Connect Live, Local Guides from different countries around the world came together. Each of our countries has its own unique culture, traditions, food, clothing, and way of life.
This session gave us a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and showcase that diversity together.
Those of us from Bangladesh wore traditional white Panjabis, while the female participants from Bangladesh wore sarees. Our friends from Pakistan wore their traditional attire, and the participants from Taiwan also beautifully represented their own cultural heritage.
I absolutely loved the experience.

Although we hadn’t traveled together to each other’s countries, standing there at Connect Live, it felt as if we were experiencing a little piece of each other’s cultures in one place.
Different cultures, different traditional outfits, and different identities—all came together to create such a beautiful and vibrant atmosphere.

For me, Connect Live Singapore was more than just an event. It was a beautiful celebration of friendship, mutual respect, cultural diversity, and the beauty of bringing people from different parts of the world together.
This will always remain one of my favorite memories from my Local Guides journey.
