Traditional Keddha Bali & Sacred Buffalo:
Traditionally, a buffalo sacrifice (Keddha Bali) was part of the Marikamba Jatre, symbolizing the victory of good over evil. In recent years, this ritual has been replaced by symbolic offerings, respecting modern laws while preserving cultural sentiments. Inside the temple premises, devotees can also see the temple’s sacred buffalo, which is lovingly maintained and taken care of by the temple authorities as part of this long-standing tradition.
Paintings & Architecture:
One of the unique highlights of this temple is the beautiful wall paintings inside the temple premises. These paintings depict scenes from the Devi Mahatmya and other mythological stories related to Goddess Durga, showcasing traditional art and craftsmanship. The temple architecture reflects a blend of simplicity and spiritual grandeur.
Anna Prasada (Free Meals):
