8th Anniversary Celebrations of the Local Guides Program - A Grand Roundup of the Meetups

The 8th Anniversary of the world’s most loved ‘Local Guides Program’ was celebrated by local guides around the world.

Hundreds of Local guides from countries, notably Argentina, Pakistan, India, the UK, and Bangladesh got involved by conducting and participating in various meetups during the month of January.

The appeal to participate was made by stalwarts like @NareshDarji and @KashifMisidia and I was invited over to participate as an organizer as well. This was an enriching experience to work with two of the most popular and energetic local guides and moderators.

Important to note that both Kashif and Naresh are 2 times winners of the Guiding Stars a rare feat indeed.

@Jesi organized a unique and delightful Ice Cream, Accessibility & LGA Meet-up in Buenos Aires.

The idea was novel and entertaining and the meetup saw excellent attendance by Team Argentina

[9] @NahidHossain conducted a meetup in Rajshahi, Bangladesh to celebrate the occasion and it got a very good response and attendance.

Although after removal of COVID-19 restrictions, online meetups have decreased in numbers but we managed to hang out and organize in person meetups of which all of them have been recapped by @KashifMisidia bhai.
