It’s been years of journey with Google Maps. I’d say, almost a decade.
To be honest, I just know about this feature to share things I have done on Google Maps on Local Guides Connect JUST NOW. I’d love to share more here!
83% of the journey left is to be Local Guide Level 10.
I used to spend my vacant time instead of playing games, just giving feedback and reviewing on Google Maps around the neighborhood area. Also, to the place that I’ve been through.
Adding pictures and videos with affirmative words is essential and meaningful. Especially, to the business holder.
I think, doing this is practicing empathy to support others in their businesses with love. Moreover, in this Digital Age, newer generations (Gen Z & Alpha) are more digital-oriented. Hence, deciding their consumer behavior will be based on digital ratings. One of them, looking on the reviews from Google Maps.
Therefore, being a local guide is like being a hero without a red carpet and bed of roses.
Doing things sincerely for the good of others.
