It was an amazing experience to be part of the 6th years celebration of Bangladesh Local guides on 13th March,2020 at Mehedi Food Court, Barua, 300 ft Road, Bashundhara, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Though I know the place but still I wanted to follow the map on google just to feel better that together BDGL as a community not only helping to build a better info-graphic maps not only for locals but also those who are coming from across the globe.
The program started with full energy and vibes and I can’t thank enough the organizers and the core team of BDGL to make it happen with a perfect plan and execution. As a local guide I have never got the opportunity to meet the other core members from any other part f the world but I’m very confident to say the value and effectiveness been added by our BDGL core team is comparable to any other country.
There has lot of insights which wouldn’t be possible to get clarification over social media. The Admins informed us what is the update and performances, the DOs and DON’Ts, the street view mapping, the update of google maps, How we can do better and be accurate and above all how we are doing as a country.
It was all together 147 members and 5 guests attended this memorable meetup and I had lot of fun and knowledge exchange throughout the session. Thanks to Google for creating such a platform where the people across the globe can be benefited when they visit Bangladesh. Last but not least it was an great eye opening celebration where we can see we have looooong way to go and the scope to improve is enormous.
