Today March 31, we celebrate 55 years without dictatorship.
Olá @Ggel ,
Que obra linda da bandeira do Brasil. A onde que ela está/estava exposta? Parece o Museu de Arte do Rio?
Can I speak portugese with you?
It was last year. It was exposed in Paço Imperial Downtown,. In past was governors residence.
I have others photos.
Olá @Ggel ,
Pode sim, não é preciso postar em inglês necessariamente no fórum.
Wow, I am impressed by the artistic representation of the flag. The implementation and idea are well combined and honestly, greet the author, if you know him/her! Thank you for sharing, @Ggel ![]()
Did you see any information board about the flag item or do you happen to remember any additional detail about this piece of art?
Bom dia.
Hi @FlameFox
Thank you.
This exhibition was in 2018. This flag is seen from another perspective. It is called a BANDEIRA DOS FARRAPOS (torn cloths). It was created in 1993.
Haha, nice title, @Ggel ! It’s a far cry from the message of this piece of art, however still looks nice. Thanks for sharing ![]()
Hi @FlameFox
At the time of the posting, Brazil celebrated 55 years without the dictatorship of Mlitar, however, we are experiencing an archaic policy on the part of the new President. The intention of the flag crushed was to show how much Brazil is returning to the past. (my opinion).
As a local, you’ve most probably got the point, @Ggel .
This piece of art could also symbolize the new order in Brazil, the progress and the fact that every person in this country - despite their religion, skin color or political views, have taken part of that progress. We all wear clothes, so clothes mean people. The fact that this impression of the Brazilian flag is there would suggest that people still matter in that progress. (weather authorities like it or not).
It’s just my opinion too and we’re probably implying a completely different meanings to what the artist thought at that time, however I do find it really creative. This is what art should do to us - make us think and air the artist world in a manner, doesn’t it? ![]()
