The last restaurant that I reviewed was yesterday, of a Texan restaurant. I realized I forgot to review the restaurant earlier. Blame the procrastinator in me, not my fault.
It was a girls trip to Fort Worth back in June. Exploring the stockyards and its surrounding was the main focus of our trip while exploring some other attractions as well. After a hot and sweaty day, walking in the sun for almost the whole time, burning our calories and the skin, we decided to dine in at Riscky’s Bar-B-Q. It was no surprise that the restaurant was full. We had to wait out for some 15/20 mins before we were seated. Thanks to my friend that she made the reservation earlier, or else we probably would have to leave the restaurant with an empty stomach. Well, dine in at Riscky’s was one of our goals in the trip as well; couldn’t afford to leave without trying their ribs.
Riscky’s has been in business since 1927, selling their signature beef ribs and barbecue baskets and briskets. This particular branch is located inside the Fort Worth Stockyards. There is a steakhouse next to the restaurant as well, do not get confused by the name. Make sure you go to the Risckey’s Bar-B-Q. You will be blown away by the cowboy environment, the southern music, the wooden floor, rustic interior and of course the smell of barbecue. Even now, as I am typing this, my mouth is watering by remembering my experience there.
Riscky’s is especially famous for their all-you-can-eat beef ribs during lunch hour at $13.99. The ribs come with 2 sides of your choice. The drinks price is separate. They also have a wide variety of appetizers, sandwiches, steaks and even tacos option, just in case if you don’t want ribs, which will be, in my opinion, a mistake. The juicy and semi-burnt barbecued ribs are something to die for. Oh, and yes, they have a kid’s menu as well. If you drink, my personal recommendation will be to go for Texas Tea. It’s really delicious and goes very well with the ribs, on a hot day. I have shared my experience in my review.
If you are visiting Fort Worth and plan to visit the Stockyards, please pay a visit to Riscky’s. You will love your experience. I guarantee.
