5 Local Guides photos to celebrate foliage season in South Korea

When I lived in South Korea, I absolutely loved the autumn season. The trees and flowers are a bit different from those back home, and the change of colors is a fascinating thing to witness. The vivid red maple leaves and the bright yellow ginkgo trees urge many to search for the perfect spot to enjoy the beauty of nature.

As autumn unfolds in the Northern Hemisphere, we wanted to share with you five amazing Local Guides photos that capture the magic of the foliage season in South Korea.

1. Bukhansan Mountain by Local Guide Blanca Casa

2. Nami Island by Local Guide 김정민

3. Naejangsan National Park by Local Guide Sujie Won

4. Wondaeri Birch Forest by Local Guide 종코

5. Seoraksan by Local Guide 좋은하루

Hey @LilyanaZ ,

All these places are so much stunningly beautiful! Only by looking at the photos, I started dreaming of visiting South Korean again. I will make sure to add the Nami island in my bucket list. Fingers crossed that I would be able to do it in the few years to come.

I can’t believe it, but actually I’ve been to one of the places you mentioned - Seoraksan mountain. I visited there in the beginning of 2015 when I paid a visit to a friend of mine. Here is a photo that we took on the top of one of the hills of Seoraksan mountain.

I’ve always wondered what does is the meaning of the Korean letters that are written next to the Korean flag. At that time I was so tired of hiking up to the top that I forgot to ask my friend.

As for the foliage season, I love capturing autumn moments with my phone. A photo that I captured recently and that I like a lot is of a type of mushroom secluded deep in the forest.

Great photos @LilyanaZ . When ever I read a post like this I always seem to ask myself which is the best, or, which one do I like most. I have to say that in this case, I just couldn’t pick one as they are all fantastic. Congratulations to all the photographers.

Hi , I am here @LilyanaZ . I went there to your profile, checked your posts, and the ( Introduce yourself, but couldn’t comment cause it’s closed as you know. I was in United States and invited to a Mexican Restaurant to have a breakfast. The name of the Rest is ( Clock ) . When there, I didn’t expect I will have a very hot and SPICY breakfast! . I can expect a SPICY dish at lunch, or at dinner, but not at BREAKFAST. first bite, I got confused and asked for water quickly oh, my friend rushed and brought me a glass of water, people there were looking at me,.like they wondering. Oh my.God, I couldn’t eat my dish, then the Restaurant captain apologized a lot for me because of the hot spicy dish. Then I ate the same dish but not SPICY.

In the Menu, there wasn’t any details if my Dish hot or not, but like you it was a shock for me . So , just know, the hotest and Most SPICY food ever in Mexican Restaurant. Yes I tried a lot of their food. Try any Mexican food if you love the SPICY dishes :yum: .

Very Respectfully.

Happy to know you

Cheers
