I just hit “publish” on the 31st episode of the LetsGuide Podcast and dubbed it “the anniversary edition”, as the podcast is 2 years old this month! Because I wanted to come up with something special on this occasion, I decided to interview some fellow local guides who all made it to level 10 and convinced them to share their secret tips on how to reach level 10.

Congratuations on youranniversary edition @JanVanHaver and what an impressive line-up of guest speakers to join in on that celebration I think your podcasts are an impressive and valuable contribution to the Local Guide program. How much time does it take to prepare an episode Jan? Not that I’m thinking of starting one but I think it would be interesting for you to write a post about how you produce your podcasts, the equipment you use etc. I heard you mention during the podcast that @TraciC was the 9th person on Connect and I’m wondering how you deduced that. Once again well done and cheers to your next 30!

@TraciC Keeping places updated time-to-time is also of utmost importance besides adding them in the first place and that is a great insight.
@MortenCopenhagen You are definitely nerdy and enthusiastic and the local guides community has hugely benefited from your hundreds of answers in the How-to section of Connect. Editing, cleaning maps, removing incorrect information are definitely a great value addition towards making Maps a useful and reliable source of information.
Jan, Opening Maps in another language and checking the correctness of translation of names in that language is a huge opportunity for local guides in India and across Europe that have dozens of languages recognized by Googe Maps. Also, a great tip about classifying sports clubs into particular sports. I will definitely look into this for India.
Overall a nice interaction with the level-10 local guides and lots of valuable knowledge shared.
You are a bigger nerd than I thought @MortenCopenhagen however, where do you get the 1.084.545 number from?
Also, yes signing up on Connect is different to when one becomes a Local Guide and hence why, in my comment here, I mentioned that I’d like to see the date that we started as a Local Guide added to our Google Maps profile.
Oh it was a positive comment from me @MortenCopenhagen . Yes your 1.084.545 number confused me because of course, I couldn’t see it in my profile. So impress me even more now and put your nerd thinking cap on and tell me how I can find the date I became a Local Guide otherwise, I’ll expect that you will suport my previously mentioned idea
OK now I understand @MortenCopenhagen . I didn’t check these stats before and after and on checking now I can’t say that I notice any real difference to when I last checked these stats. Is there something that I should notice different in these stats Morten? Anyhow, as you will know, they do not include the date that one became a Local Guide.

Before publishing the podcast episode, I always listen to the edited version just to hear if everything is fine (which is often also the transition from worrying about little imperfections to realizing it isn’t all that bad after all) and this time, @AdrianLunsong , the thought that crossed my mind was that it is in fact quite a GoLoco-ish episode this time
