Happy to announce over 5 million views of my pics on Google maps. There are four photos that account for over 2 million of those views. It is a bit amusing that what I consider some of the best pics have much fewer views. And what is humbling is that the handful of pics that include me are some of the least viewed

Well done on your views achievement @christophergarrett . As you will see by visiting the Top 100 Star Photos post for September, like you many are amused by the fact that the best pics don’t necessarily have the most views.
You mentioned that Google’s photo evaluation computer doesn’t like your face or person in your shots. So they are not shown very often.
There is a very good reason for this. According to the guidelines we should not upload photos with recognizable faces.
I believe this is partly to protect your privacy but more importantly to not have distractions stealing attention from viewing the place itself. After all Google Maps is about places not faces
