We all want to take great pictures, but we can sometimes fall into the rut of taking the same image that everyone else takes who visits that location. Whenever you are going to photograph a location, try to be deliberate and artistic in your photo capture. Your images will be much more helpful, unique, and inspiring if you take just a couple seconds extra to use these steps to take better pictures.

Walk around your subject. Explore how it looks from different angles. How will it look from down low or up high?

Read the light. Decide whether the time of day adds to or takes away from the subject. (Sunrise and sunset are always great times to take artistic pictures

Visualize the end result. Its been said “If you aim at nothing, your sure to hit it every time.” That carries over to photography as well. Think about how you want the image to look in the end and then use the first two steps to make reality!
