36 walk Paris - Where Nepal meet Italy

It seems strange, isn’t it?

Three persons attended the “Promenade “36” photos Paris” organised by @JeanRV , to follow @PaulPavlinovich call for the World Wide Local Guides 36 Walk Photowalk

One from Nepal, and two from Italy, meeting in Paris. For @AntonellaGr and myself, the trip to Paris was our Christmas present, for @SovitaD it is a period for studying.

Jean wasn’t able to reach us, so the meet-up responsibility was transferred to me

Due to the difficult situation that Paris was facing every Saturday on the last 19 weeks, we decided for a 36Walk on Friday. The only alternative was to cancel the walk, as inviting the people to join on Saturday it means putting everyone in a risky situation. We knew that on Friday fewer people would join, but we had no options.

We met in front of a fast food restaurant near the Arc de Triomphe. We introduced ourselves, so we were ready to start.

The walk was divided by Jean in two part:

A morning walk for reaching Parc Monceau, then back to Arc de Triomphe

An after lunch walk was programmed on the afternoon, for reaching the Tour Eiffel, then back to Arc de Triomphe again, through Trocadero.

The most interesting part of the morning promenade was Parc Monceau, with an impressive number of people jogging all around the park.

On the walk back to Place Charles de Gaulle, we decided to have the lunch on “Le Baron”, a Lebanese restaurant on Rue Washington. The restaurant was small, and it was late, but they welcomed us in any case, not a problem for them.

Sovita left after lunch, and nobody else reached us for the afternoon, so we decided to modify a bit the promenade:

From the Tour Eiffel, we decided to take a bus for reaching The Louvre Museum

It was our only, even if short, opportunity to see the area of the museum. So we will have to visit Paris again.

At the end of the day, my steps counter was showing 21.000 + steps, for a total distance of 16 Km. Not bad

Here is the album of the 36walk

For sure we will have to visit Paris again, there is a lot to see

Thank you @KashifMisidia

Yes, international Meet-ups is one of the things that I most Love on my Local Guide Activity.

Every meet-up seems to be also a mini reunion of Local Guides that met once (or twice) at an official Google Event. As you may have seen, @SovitaD was on Local Guide Summit '17, also known as “best Summit Ever”
