So up in the mountains from Chiang Mai, in the jungle there is this cafe on a huge tree called The Giant.
There are 3 different listings on the map, one in English, one in Thai and one I think in Korean. On top of it the English version is listed as a hotel with no opening hours so unlucky, and only checked the English listing (also with the most reviews) we went there the only day they are closed (on Mondays). There is a huge sign in front telling you it’s closed on Mondays, written in Thai of course. Well, it’s there is English too, but almost faded away already.
So when I saw there are 2 more listings I marked them as Duplicates, but they got rejected. They are clearly dupes, you can see it from the pictures, also there are no other cafe places there.
I also tried to change the category on the English listing, since it’s showing as a hotel, and you can’t add opening hours (or in this case, the closed day). Also got rejected.
I tried to do it again, I even attached pictures from Google maps, showing all 3 listings, but got rejected again. Wondering if there is anything else I could do, because I literally got unlucky and was unable to try this unique place because of the incorrect Maps listing.
I have also experienced the same obstacle, indeed it is a weakness of Google Maps, one way is that you can try a few days later at midnight or at dawn, good luck
When you go to a location, it is added to your timeline. Although I personally went to that place and took a photo of the place, which I added to Google Maps, it was rejected. Google manually reviews the new locations that have been added and then decides if there is a move. Although these may seem like ways to increase my chances of changing the marker point on the maps to the correct point, in fact, they are not exactly so.
The other children’s playgrounds I added wete not accepted because there were no signs. Since they were not accepted, I deleted the photos I added from my profile on Maps.
