3 deleted posts :(

3 of my post were moved to Off-topic on Connect
I received an email notifying me that @TsekoV ,a Google Moderator marked them.
The reason, it was believed they were irrelevant to Connect (those 3 posts were about sports, so thousands of people love sports, i don’t find this irrelevant)

Now if I search them they don’t appear, they are gone :frowning:

A lot of people like drone shots, because the show a different perspective, also it takes me some time to edit those videos and render several times till it has 3MB size to post it on Connect.

@TsekoV @Aruni @AdrianLunsong can you explain me what was wrong in my posts? please
So this doesn’t happen again

Hi @LaloPadilla ,

Thank you for tagging me and raising this as a question.

As you mentioned, many people love sports and that’s great. : ) However, Connect focuses on travel stories, amazing photos, questions, feedback, and more, shared by Local Guides. You can visit this article What are Connect topics? to learn more about Connect topics.

The Photography board is the perfect place to add your awesome drone videos and photos, but what would make your posts even more engaging is sharing more of your photography skills and knowledge. Why not give us some great tips on how to create drone photography or tell us which are the best places to use your drone? This just adds even more value to your posts!

Hi @LaloPadilla without seeing the actual post, I can’t really comment on it. But I did have a look at your other posts and there is room for improvements!

Firstly, your posts are too short! We appreciate you sharing your amazing drone shots and GIFs of hyperlapse (they are stunning by the way!) but you need to help us, the readers, out! Give us some information about the place, some context for us to understand why the location means something to you.

You’ve been to many beautiful places and we certainly want to know more about them from your perspective. This is the beauty of Connect, I’m not just reading information from a Wiki page… but I have someone local telling me their personal stories about the location and sharing the good, the bad, the ugly and the beautiful about their area.

As @TsekoV has mentioned, take the opportunity and use your talent and effort at making hyperlapse to educate the rest of the community! Teach us how to make them. Or maybe write a “how to” post on taking great photos of landmarks to add to Google Maps!

And, “sports” is not strictly off-topic; you just need to know how to talk about it in the context of the Local Guides program! It could come under “Travel” where you talk about all the stadiums you have been too, where they are (with Google Map links), what fascinates you about them, maybe even tell us about the fan culture (if there is one)! It could be a post under “Photography” where you show us how to capture the beauty of stadiums, or of athletes in motion.

Hopefully, that will give you some ideas about what you can write in your post and if you want more tips/ideas, do check out my #ConnectWritingChallenge series.
