3 Chicken Soup Ramens to Warm You Up This Winter

“Chicken noodle soup, chicken noodle soup~ Chicken noodle soup with a soda on the side~” Today we’re not talking about chicken noodle soup but something as yummy and as savory, chicken soup ramen!

Winter is coming, and what’d be cozier than staying indoors with a bowl of warm noodles soup? It not only warms up the stomach but also warms up the soul and brightens up the mood. Here comes 3 ramen places good for the coming winter.

  1. Chicken soup ramen with extra vegetables at 吉天元拉麵

Situated on the B1 floor of Wan Nian Building in Ximending, 吉天元 is defo not the easiest place for a first-time visitor to find. To make sure I didn’t have to wait for too long, I arrived around 15 minutes before the restaurant opened, and there had been over 5 diners queuing in front already. Better go early than too late, non? I ordered the signature chicken soup ramen with extra cabbages. The fried garlic really adds good flavor and texture to the noodles soup.

  1. Golden chicken soup ramen with chicken chashu plate at 隱家拉麵 赤峰店

Located in Zhongshan district, the battlefield of Japanese ramen and cuisine restaurants. 隱家 still gets to be one of the most popular ramen places in the area. The day I visited was Sunday and I queued for almost an hour to get in. With the amount of time I waited, I did set a high expectation, and it didn’t disappoint me. The chicken soup ramen I ordered is savory yet not too salty, exactly what I like. Besides the ramen, don’t miss the signature chashu plate, it’s such a good combo if you are a carnivore like me.

  1. Chicken paitan ramen with pork chashu at Totto Ramen 鳥人拉麵 中山店

Here’s another ramen shop in Zhongshan district, Totto Ramen Zhongshan branch. Located in one of the biggest shopping areas in Taipei city, it’s expected to see the crowd and spend time waiting for a table to dine on the weekend. After almost an hour of wait, I ordered the signature chicken soup ramen with pork chashu for lunch. The chicken broth they serve is more of a thick type. To my surprise, I actually like the chashu more than the soup ramen itself.

Do you like Ramen?

Hi @ChanneLing my partner in life Chris is Greek and often makes Avgolemono which is basically chicken and rice soup with lemon. So many different ways to enjoy chicken soup around the world. Thanks for sharing.

Hi @PaulPavlinovich

I’ve never heard of Avgolemono and just googled it.

It looks so yum, with ingredients I love, chicken, rice, eggs, and lemon!

Thank you so much for sharing it! Now I got one more thing to try on my foodie list.

Thanks for bringing me to this yummy post as always by @ChanneLing

Well, speaking about ramen, I like it more with pork, but still can’t refuse if it is as good as what Ling had

You even waited for an hour, but you got the satisfying result.

I’m glad that you like the post! :hugs:

And yes, these dishes are great for appetite and mood, though may not be a perfect choice of late-night snack as I may get edema the next day (as the soup could get too salty sometimes lol).
