I have heard some of my friends who came from the overseas bought some snacks high price about twice price for a souvenir in the market street so I would tell you where can we buy foods and snacks cheaply in Korea
maybe this information will be useful if you going to visit Korea or stay here for a long time
Korean Marts
I usually use HomePlus super mart near my hometown because of there has a variety of stuff and foods so I would tell you famous big Mart brands in Korea where you can visit easy
1.HomePlus
HomePlus is in competition with E-mart and their brand colour is Blue and Red
you can buy Daily necessities and grocery price is similar to Emart and If Emart to bargain sale event then usually they do too
I think Emart and Homeplus are similar but I think Emart’s PB stuff is better than HomePlus
2.E-mart
If Emart’s colour is Red and Blue then Emart colour is Yellow
I think Smart’s style(interior etc) is fancier than HomePlus also here PB stuff is really good and cheap
and they sell brand “No-brand” it is by some small companies and they are reasonable price and quality that is one of Emart’s good point
so if you don’t mind brand, Emart will be good choice for you
3.Lotte Mart
Lotte Mart is one of the biggest marts from Lotte group company sometimes they sell foods really cheap now (they sell Tongkun Fried chicken 5000 won Merch 31 2019 ~ ) Their PB stuff is good too but usually, Emart’s stuff is cheaper than Lotte mart I think

I recommend just using mart closest with you That Marts selling stuff price is almost the same even I like Emart but I use homeplus because it is closest to my home I wish this information would be useful for you and wish don’t be overcharged from the bad merchant
