29 June 2019 One Year Ago, Memories From Google Photos

Sunrise hunting trip and enjoy the phenomenon of frost in Dieng,Banjarnegara Central Java.

I live in Yogyakarta and the distance of Dieng is 112 km from my city and requires approximately 3.14 minutes if traffic is normal.

I am very excited and impatient when June is the dry season and In Dieng there is the phenomenon of frost as I have written in my previous article about the Ice dew phenomenon.

Due to the excitement, me and my kids not sleep at night on June 28, 2019.

Our travel plan was to enjoy the sunrise and also enjoy the ice dew phenomenon. Actually it is impossible that 2 of our plans could be carried out, because the frost will start to melt when the sun rises. But i’m positive i will get those two moments.

We depart from Yogya at 1am using 2 cars. And we are ready with layered clothing and jackets and gloves also layered because we will come to a high hills Dieng, where the temperature is always cold on normal days, especially in the dry season … can reach minus temperatures and when I go there the temperature is 6 ° c, maybe for those of you who live in countries that have winter temperatures of 6 ° c there is no the effect is, but for us who only have 2 seasons, and the tropical country the temperature of 6 ° c is very cold.

which in 30 minutes the sun will rise soon…i have a little problem with wheels.

Really spurred adrenaline because we panicked and worried and our disappointment had been imagined that our trip would be in vain because of an unexpected problem that was a flat tire, and the location where we changed the tire was approximately 10 km away from the location to enjoy the sunset and require approximately 15 minutes to get there because the road is already very uphill and narrow, of course the car must be more careful, can not speeding. And Thank God 4.20 the car can continue the journey.

It feels great because we still have a very extraordinary moment of sunrise like the photo below. Do not want to move actually because of awe, excitement, emotion mixed into one to see the greatness of God with a cycle of sunrise which is very amazing.

Sunrise from Tieng substation view

Dieng has the best spot to enjoy the sunrise on Mount Sikunir, I didn’t get to it but my son who was in the arms of another car they enjoyed the sunrise from Mount Sikunir. We were in Tieng substation for only 10 minutes because we still wanted to be able to enjoy ice dew.

The ice dew phenomenal will inviting tourists from outside the region and outside the province to come to the Arjuna Dieng Temple Complex in order to see and enjoy extraordinary phenomena for us in Indonesia. My advice for those who have respiratory problems should not come to the location of the frost is, because it’s really very cold, I already wear thick plus clothes 3 quilted jackets, 3 quilted gloves are still shivering with cold … brrrrr…

My youngest child cried asking to go back to the car because he felt incredible cold but because in my mind I just wanted to see the dew of ice directly, I came to ignore the safety of the children.

Thank God once again even though it was very cold we could reach the middle of the ice dew, and there was very crowded with tourists like me, visiting, taking photos while enjoying the incredible natural scenery.

The grass in ice dew covered

Realized even though there was a drama from a car tire and the cry of my youngest child. Dieng is famous for producing potatoes, vegetables, tobacco and there is also a tea plantation.

We stopped by Tambi Tea Plantation, again this place is very amazingly good, especially for me that come from Kalimantan, which has no tea plantations because Kalimantan is geographically located on the Equator line

Back to Yogyakarta and the feeling of not being willing to go home because of Dieng, Wonosobo is a very good sight.

Nice post @AnikSetyawati I like your words full of enthusiasm about this trip. Here in the city you cannot see this phenomenon but in the interior of the province you can see early in the morning the fields covered by “escarcha” in the Winter season.

Yes @AnikSetyawati ice dew & escarcha are the same. I live in Buenos Aires, there’s no snow here, in the south of Argentine, in the Patagonia, you can find snow, for example in a beautiful place named San Carlos de Bariloche

Greetings

Really very valuable info, because I think all countries outside my country must have snow every winter.

Thank you @SilvyC for the story, so I got more knowledge from your city, Buenos Aires

Warm grettings from Indonesia :hugs:
