Lunar New Year celebrations were held in Chinatown, Melbourne on the weekend of the 21st of Jan 2023. I love the sights and sounds of the Lunar New Year celebrations.
The performance is conducted by the Chinese Youth Society of Melbourne each year and they do such a great job.
I was in the crowd and had to deal with the VIPs sitting in front. There is a lot of close up of the performances to avoid hats and people with their camera phones. However, I was close enough to have shrapnel from the fireworks hit me.
I was shooting with my trusty Canon 5D III with a 24-105mm lens. The video was taken on my mobile phone.
