Although I haven’t been active on connect as other times,yet I keep my maps contributions rolling.I really would have loved this to be on the ‘How tos board’ its meant really to be an inspirational post rather than achievements. Anyways I’ll post it on the achievements board to keep connect organised as it where and as the CM and GM would want it to be .Many local guides shy away from drawing roads on the maps therefore the big huge 0 on the rioads added on their profiles.This has been my new area of interest and it has been quite good. I can easily boast of a1000 points at a go and even thousands of contributions in a short while. What more, at the comfort of my study on my desk. Thanks to various local guides and connect moderators who have inspired me to get on this course or would you say a technical and rare local guide activity.
another thing I am proud of is the amount of time it took me to jump from 1000 roads to 2000 bench mark. I hope there will be others who are willing to join this club as some other local guides call it. There are a number of us on connect. It dosen’t have to be roads in your native country or surrounding,you can draw in other countries. Although there are technicalities involved but its not rocket science. It’s learnable and achieveable. This goes out to all local guides, calling or soliciting for drawing of roads on the maps. I’ll plan to make the next post on this a 5k one,wish me goodluck !!!

Thank you for responding. Hope you are good? I am doing well thanks,although very busy with my mission work. Regarding drawing roads,you are not restricted to your surrounding alone. You can zoom in into another country that is open to drawing roads. I added lots of roads in Brazil for instance. There are still more roads to draw there yet. I zoomed in into India as well,South Africa etc. Lots of roads to draw in these countries I mentioned just search for them and follow all the rules. We can have a healthy constructive road drawing challenge and others can join us. we can make the maps thousands of times better.
Please try that and let us know the outcome. If you are intelligent enough to be a guiding star you can draw lots of roads as well. Lol

Its high time you started contributing if you haven’t started on drawing roads. if you like catching fun,this is fun. If you want more points although it’s no big deal and you are already a level 10 nevertheless this will yield more points. I often had a range of 20-80 approved roads at a go that’s 1000 points alone. it’s not limited to your country or surrounding alone,you can zoom in into another country that’s open to drawing roads. Not all countries are open to drawing roads on the maps.

You are correct. Maybe you will need to read Ermest post on drawing roads it helped me alot. It has tips for searching and recognising roads that need to be drawn on the maps without you been there geographically in person like.

But if there are other ways I would check out that virtual road marking in another country from the local guide who has done it … More knowledge for us
