20° to -20° OMG!! Leh

#updated

Thanks to my friends who saw and commented on this post.

Here is the full post about my travel to leh and other places.

It’s a dream of every Indian to visit leh one day, the same dream I had in my mind since I saw the famous movie ‘3 idiots’. I fall in love with two after this movie one is Kareena and other is the beauty of leh.

The movie launched in 2009 and it’s having the shooting of Manali to leh and some famous places of leh.

So this winters me and my cousin decided to travel leh, but unaware of leh weather we booked flight tickets to leh because reaching by road is not possible due to a road closed.

We started our travel from the hot desert of India to Himalayas desert

We booked our cab from Jaipur to Delhi and took flight for leh from Delhi airport.

Before starting the travel we do so much research about leh Ladakh I find negative report everywhere and got suggestions from family, friends and google that don’t go leh in winter, but our flight’s hotels were booked so we decided to so and left the things, god.

When we enter into the flight we found on soldiers who were returning from home out of 300 passengers only 4-5touriest I found, I was so scared when I discussed with one of the soldiers he said there is so much cold there even it’s also so hard for us to survive.

The suggested us to take some medicine which name I miss from my mind. It helps to fight from low oxygen level.

The view from Delhi to leh is iconic beautiful even I can’t express the view of white snow covered mountains shining with sunlight,

After some time we left behind the mountains and enter in the dream world yes it leh, beautiful mountains and view, no pollution no overcrowded, peace everywhere.

The view of leh airport itself is mind-blowing. After the landing, we took a taxi to the hotel and reached.

It was minus 15 when we landed so chilling outside but we were packed with 5-6layers so we didn’t get any problem for a few hours.

But when we reach hotel we found that there is no water in taps

I just visited the coldest place of India drass, leh, and Kargil. It was so difficult to survive in this temp for other peoples. You will get everything freeze water, river.

I know how I survive there

If you are planning to visit leh contact me I will give u a brief don’t go for any package.

Hello @Luckyjpr ,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us, seems really cold as there is none on the streets, but you! Could you tell us a bit more about your trip? Was there any particular reason for you to go there and what did you enjoy the most?

As far as I know, Leh is situated in the Himalayas, right? These mountains and the area have always been a dream to me, even though I dont like feeling cold.
