Recently I have visited the first floating bridge in Bangladesh which is made by old plastic oil drum and iron. The place is situated near the old city Jessore, name of the place is Rajgonj. There are two Baor (বাওড় , usually it is the branch of river but one end of this branch has closed ) near Rajgonj. One is known as Jhanpa Baor and another is known as Parkhajura Baor.
But the bridge is built on the Jhanpa Baor and the name of the Baor is Bangabandhu Vasoman Setu (Bangabandhu Floating Bridge). if you come to visit the bridge the scenery and the nature will make you happy. Wave of the green paddy field, thousands of date tree and the hundred and thousands acres of vegetable field which is the best scenery of this area.
