Merry Christmas to all local guides. Hope you will enjoy Merry Christmas vacation with your family. 150th meet-up of Bangladesh Local Guide was held on 18-19th December, 2020. Participation in this meet-up was some conditional. Exceeding these conditions, 40 local guides get a chance to participate in the meet-up. I feel lucky to be a part of the milestone 150th meet-up of Bangladesh Local Guides.
Local guides selected from different districts of the country appear directly in Sylhet district. A few local guides cover a distance of about 700 km to reach the meet-up. Due to the love and sincerity of the local guide community, Bangladesh Local Guide has been able to celebrate the 150th meet-up with pride. Through this meet-up we enjoy the beauty of Jaflong Zero Point, Khashiyapalli, Lalakhal River, and Tea Garden of some natural beauty of Sylhet District.
Call time was Panshi Restaurant in Sylhet at 6-7 in the morning everyone will gather. Everyone arrives at Panshi Restaurant before 7:30 am. We have breakfast here. There were two types of breakfast â âBuna Khichuriâ and âAkhniâ. I like âBuna Khichuriâ. After breakfast, tea comes for everyone. I can say as a tea lover the taste of the tea was awesome. After the breakfast, we all set off on foot for the bus. Bus was waiting for us. The journey to the main episode of meet up begins.
A bus was ready. All the local guides left by bus together. Our first destination was Jaflong Green Resort. It takes about an hour to reach Jaflong by bus from Sylhet city. Masks were given to all of us on the bus. The masks were sent by Zahirul Bhai from Dhaka.
We had already booked 6 rooms at Jaflong Green Resort. We arrived resort and sometime after left resort for visiting Jaflong Zero Point, Khasiapalli. Jaflong Zero Point is surrounded by all sorts of rocks and the cool water of the Goyain River. Dawki is a city in the Indian state of Meghalaya, across the border from Bangladesh. Dawki cities rows of houses are located on the hillside.
Hundreds of tourists come here every day to enjoy the beauty of Jaflong. Zero point area is everywhere small big stones. Many children are playing with stones. Many are bathing in cool Goyain River water. Some tourists are traveling by boat. The beauty of Jaflong Zero Point fascinates us all. We all rent boats and go to the banks of the shallow Goyain River. We visit Londoni Market and travel to Khasiapalli. We all like the betel nut cultivation care system of Khasiaspalli. The locals are sitting with small temporary shops. Tourists buy goods from these shops.
The ceremony starts from the afternoon after lunch. In the evening local dessert Kuli Pitha & Chicken Roll is served. Bar B Que party at night was awesome in a word. Community Moderator @MahabubMunna talk about connect writing issue & google map some issue.
After question answer session we all were watching movies, singing together & Campfire etc.
Connect moderator @SoniaK joins us virtually in the night. Her encouragement was inspiration to us.There were two places to sleep at night: Resort Room and Tent. I decided to stay in the Tent. We set up 13 Tents in the secluded spot of the Resort. Dry wood is provided to keep the fire burning throughout the night. This is the first time I have ever experienced living in a Tent. That night was a dreamy night to all of us.
After breakfast on the second day of the meet-up, we all checked out from Resort.
We took the bus directly to Lalakhal area within 1 hour. Lalakhal is located in Jaintapur Upazila of Sylhet District. Lalakhal is famous for its blue water river of Shari-Goyain River. Every day thousands of people gather here to see the blue water river.
The blue water fascinates us all. Hills & Green trees on both sides of the river. We rented 3 local boats and moved to the Lalakhal Pointview area of ââLalakhal. We also visit the Tea Garden in the Zero Point area. The beauty of the Tea Garden also fascinates us all. Cool blue water of Lalakhal and Tea Garden beauty combined us together. Bangladesh Local Guides plantation ten trees at Lalakhal zero point area.
We left Lalakhal area and went to Panshi Restaurant in Zindabazar, Sylhet. Here we have taken lunch. On behalf of Nurune Aviation, Dhaka- Chittagong-Dhaka Air Ticket won by @Aminul94 local guide through lottery. In Panshi Restaurant our Milestone 150th Meet-up was end.
