2 October 2019 marks the 150th Birth Anniversary of the great Mahatma Gandhi, a person who led the Indian Independence movement by means of truth and non-violence. He was the one who inspired personalities like Martin Luther King Jr and Nelson Mandela.
Here I’m presenting you the pictures of Charkha Museum, which I took last week. Charkha is basically a spinning wheel, which led to emergence of Khadi clothes. It had a huge role in Indian Independence struggle.

Thanks for sharing @Tushar18 so many years have passed and still we don’t seem to have learnt from great people like him! I’m guessing if this museum has been recently opened it’s quite popular, right? Can you buy your tickets in advance or are they easy to get at the entrance?
@kroza It’s true that we need to learn a lot of things from great personalities of the world. In today’s time, their values are more important than ever before.
Yes, the museum is pretty popular among tourists and local people. You can see the crowd during weekends and public holidays. I went during a weekday to avoid rush and peacefully see all the artefacts.
The tickets are easily available at the counter before entering the museum. Their service is quite fast and it won’t take much time in buying. Along with the ticket, the person at ticket counter will gift you a souvenir (as I mentioned in the post). 2 things are offered, of which we have to choose 1. Most of the people choose handkerchief as it was pretty and can be used in daily activities.
I don’t think currently they have any procedure to buy ticket in advance. Almost no tourist felt the need of it.
