15 Malls light up for Christmas in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

It’s Christmas season! Happy Christmas everyone! This post took a bit of time, as I visited over 15 malls around Kuala Lumpur to capture the Christmas lights and decorations. It’s also sort of the first Christmas that everyone in the country can roam around freely without the mandatory facemask. So, enjoy the photos.

[Mall 1 - Photo below] - Sunway Pyramid Mall. One of the largest malls in Malaysia. Google Maps Location (https://goo.gl/maps/7rb4SzSdE2LfyZmC8 ). A beautiful Christmas decoration of an enchanted forest. Many trees filled with decorations.

[Mall 2 - Photo below] - Setia City Mall. A smaller mall, serving people in Setia Alam area. Google Maps (https://goo.gl/maps/9dovPSfKJ4jsbxBR7 ). An amazing white Christmas decoration. With an igloo and lots of snow.

[Mall 3 - Photo below] - Bangsar Village. A cosy homely mall in the posh area of Bangsar. Google Maps (https://goo.gl/maps/Wp927cDgpuH3gV84A ). Another snowy Christmas decoration.

[Mall 4 - Photo below] - Lot 10 in Bukit Bintang area. Google Maps (https://goo.gl/maps/jnjT3MarHJzfodMA8 )

[Mall 5 - Photo below] - Empire Shopping Gallery Subang. A small mall serving people in Subang Jaya area. Lots of nice food here. Google Maps location (https://goo.gl/maps/Mv33esyhrKWXLfHE7 )

[Mall 6 - Photo below] - 1 Utama Mall in Bandar Utama. Google Maps location (https://goo.gl/maps/7EWRBKY9vT839w9q9 ). This mall really outdid themselves. A whole train by the mountain side Christmas decoration. One of my favorites.

[Mall 7 - Photo below] - IOI City Mall, the largest mall in Malaysia (by area). Google Maps location (https://goo.gl/maps/dFmSRS9ibTdu6Pvx9 ). A beautiful Christmas forest. With a mini dwarf house.

[Mall 8 - Photo below] - Suria KLCC Mall at the Petronas Twin Towers. Google Maps location (https://goo.gl/maps/HNo1VnYGZ8hU1fiF8 ). Amazing decoration with Santa’s factory. Giant Christmas trees. Lots of lights.

[Mall 9 - Photo below] - Pavillion Bukit Bintang. The premium mall at the premium location and party area of Bukit Bintang. Google Maps (https://goo.gl/maps/TKJWAFfk6G9418QA6 ). One of the most magical decorations with a train and lots of giant gems.

[Mall 10 - Photo below] - Nu Sentral Mall at KL Sentral. Google Maps (https://goo.gl/maps/kmX2j4ZSHWgos1jY6 ). A good effort of a Christmas forest.

[Mall 11 - Photo below] - Lalaport Bukit Bintang. Another premium Japanese themed mall. Lights way up to the tall ceiling. And a giant Christmas tree. Google Maps (https://goo.gl/maps/WSwRG9o7maNSvWcq9 )

[Mall 12 - Photo below] - Sogo KL. Google Maps (https://goo.gl/maps/8jzmMPUiTmpNJBwA7 ). A very popular traditional mall in the heart of old Kuala Lumpur.

[Mall 13 - Photo below] - Fahrenheit 88 at Bukit Bintang. Google Maps (https://goo.gl/maps/46YYkhqFpDMvaJFc7 ). A small decoration of trees and snowmen.

[Mall 14 - Photo below] - KL Sentral Station Mall. What really surprised me was that even the KL Sentral transportation hub and mall lit up for Christmas. Google Maps (https://goo.gl/maps/NExob54UjXnzu6546 )

[Mall 15 - Photo below] - MyTown Shopping Center in Cheras. A very popular mall with lots of great food, and is also where Ikea is located. Google Maps (https://goo.gl/maps/PE6WsosYdVtGvKM1A ). A giant tree with lots of golden decorations.

@StephenAbraham Wow! Malaysia certainly does Christmas decorations in style at these major shopping malls! I have to say that they are much better than the ones we have here in Melbourne. Visiting all of them would have taken you quite a bit of time. Thank you for your dedication to bring these photos for our benefit.

Photo of Mall 3 is my choice (well framed and captured).

I too very explored a lot of places during December… mainly due to the presence of my daughter who joined us from London.
