Dear Local Guides and Google Maps community,
Today I would like to share a milestone that means much more to me than just a number.
My photos on Google Maps have now surpassed 120 million views, while all my contributions together have reached 128 million views.
I am currently a Level 9 Local Guide, and throughout this journey I have tried to contribute something very simple: real images of the places I visit, so that someone, somewhere, can have a better idea of what they will find before they arrive.
Behind those 120 million views are hotels, restaurants, streets, beaches, landmarks and many other places documented during years of traveling and exploring.
What fascinates me most is thinking that a photograph taken during an ordinary visit can later help thousands—or even millions—of people make a decision, discover a place or simply know what it looks like.
120,062,005 photo views. 128 million views across all contributions. Local Guide Level 9.
To every person who has viewed one of my contributions: thank you.
And to my fellow Local Guides: keep contributing. Sometimes a simple photograph can travel much farther than we ever imagined.
From the map to the world… the journey continues.
Greetings from the Dominican Republic. ![]()
