I think I’m going to stop doing my reviews, I really haven’t received anything for doing this although couple days ago I did get a email offering me a pair socks, a grocery bag or a pen because I achieved level nine. Now that I’m a level 10 I still have received nothing. I think I might be done. What happened to the events, parties, tickets and other things that were promised but I have never received?

Wow congrats Cindy I got a little ways to go but I’m trying to get to where you are at level wise. Sorry you feel the let down of ive finished and it didnt mean nothing to you other than the feeling of accomplishment or whatever. And lack of things you thought you weregoing to get or worse yet tild you would get. But great job goodluck to you in whatever comes next in your life

Covid happened to the events and parties @CindyLo - like everyone else in the world Local Guides is impacted too.

Regarding the rewards, please have in mind that the Local Guides program is a voluntary program and is all about helping each other with our contributions. There are some rewards, given from time to time as a ‘‘thank you’’ from Google for your quality contributions, however, there isn’t a promised reward for participating or reaching a certain level. You can read more about it in this article. I also recommend that you check this discussion where you will find some of the reasons for being a Local Guide.

Congratulations on level 10 and if it’s any consolation it sounds as though you’ve received more perks than many of us so don’t be too disheartened with things. These are different times and hopefully changes will happen when normality resumes again.
Out of interest do you still receive any emails from Google celebrating the number of views your images have received. I’ve posted about it before and I think the general consensus is that they seem to stop at 57 million views for some reason so I was curious what your experience of this is.
I stoped caring once I hit level 10 and nothing happened. I had over 104 million reviews. At one point in time it showed that I even had more reviews of my photos but now they have discontinued that. what is going on ?
