1000+ Roads added and 2000+ likes on Reviews

Inspired by several LGs who have achieved this milestone, I started adding roads on to the maps in November of 2022. Even though I have not had much success in US adding roads. I have found many other parts of the world require lot of work in adding roads to google maps.

In fact I started with places where I lived in India, places I visited in Europe, It was interesting to see there is so much opportunity to improve the maps by adding roads.

Specially if you look the satellite view of some of the fastest growing cities, you end up finding lot of opportunity to improve the maps by adding roads or correcting them.

However you have to be patient on getting approvals on roads added. I am still not able to figure out the pattern on approvals, sometimes I get approvals on the same day, some times it takes weeks or months!

Any way this is the pattern I have seen pretty much with any edits on the maps, including new places added etc.

Also have to mention some of the LGs who have achieved this milestone and probably approaching towards 2000+, 3000+… roads added by now like @LaloPadilla @NareshDarji @SholaIB and I believe many more I may have missed.

As of today approved roads at 1041, hopefully many more to come as new approvals come in.

Here is the screen shot of my 1000th road approved!. As I mentioned approvals come in really random order.

Regarding reviews thanks to @Rodrigo_P 's post, I was able recover more than 300 reviews which were hidden. By product of that, started getting tons of feedback from the vendors on reviews which were hidden before. Also likes on reviews reached a milestone of 2000 likes.

Another effect of unlocking hidden reviews, views on my reviews went up to 3Million+

As of now the overall views on my Google Maps activity stands at 1.6 Billion+ Views and 1.5 Billion+ views on photos added. Also I like the recent addition in the graph which highlights recent views.

Congratulations , @jayasimha78 , this is impressive, especially considering that you added 1000 roads in just two weeks.

It took 7 months to me to reach 1K roads, and actually only a few people passed the 2k, but if you continue with this speed, in a few weeks you will reach that goal too.

Great achievement @jayasimha78 sir .Only a few people added 1000 roads on maps. I was the last one who added 1000 roads. I was the 6th one who did this. Welcome to the one 1000 roads club. Jai Hind . Love from India.

Here is another statistic showing that 24 and not only 8 Maps users added more than 1000 new roads:

Keep in mind that only 129.439 users out of 150.000.000+ are surveyed in the lgstats-statistics

So there are a lot more Maps users and Local Guides than those of us who are active on Connect and participating in the leaderboards
