At the end of last year, I spent 10 unforgettable days volunteering in Desa Ngrajek, a beautiful village near Borobudur Temple in Magelang, Indonesia.
The village welcomed us with fresh air, stunning views, clear water, and some of the kindest people I’ve ever met. What made the experience even more special was the people I volunteered with. We came from different cities, professions, and backgrounds, but we shared the same purpose: to create a positive impact.
One of my favorite moments was spending time with local children. We drew their dreams together, encouraged them to share their ideas, practiced public speaking, and even learned English together. Watching them express themselves with confidence and excitement was incredibly inspiring.
As someone who loves exploring new places as a remote worker and Local Guide, this experience reminded me that the most meaningful journeys are often not about the destination itself, but about the people we meet and the lives we touch along the way.
Volunteering taught me that life is not only about ourselves. Sometimes, the best form of healing comes from being useful to others.

Seru sekali menjadi Local Guides karena ada banyak cara untuk berbagi kebaikan melalui platform ini. Dengan mengunjungi berbagai tempat baru, kita dapat berbagi cerita melalui review. Tempat yang menurut saya menarik adalah tempat-tempat UMKM yang saya kunjungi pertama kali dan belum ada di Google Maps. Dari tempat-tempat tersebut, banyak cerita yang saya dapatkan dari penjualnya, terutama bagaimana penjual berjuang untuk mempertahankan usahanya.
