Google Maps sends me notifications asking me to answer questions about a business or location. I answered almost 11,000 questions. When I checked my contributions yesterday, I had lost over 10,000 points… It has happened to me before. Why do they arbitrarily delete points? They were legitimate questions and legitimate answers.

Hi @Rod52 , Thanks for reaching out. I’m very sorry to hear that. Could you please check if you have enabled 3 or 18-month deletions on your Google’s My Activity? If you did it, I’m afraid that once your questions and answers are deleted, your Local Guides points will be removed for those contributions. To avoid it in the future, please unmark this option. When you have doubts about the Local Guides Program or Google Maps, you can post it on our How-To section. If you want, you can edit this post (by clicking on the three dots on the left side) and then you only need to choose the “How-to” tag.
